Returning your motorcycle at the end of your Select agreement.

If you want to return your motorcycle to us please make sure you're familiar with the steps you need to go through.

I want to return my BMW, what do I need to do?
Ring our Contract End Team on 0870 505 0150 to arrange a date for the inspection and collection of the motorcycle.

Seven days before you return your motorcycle, please send us your V5C (log book) and MOT certificate (if applicable).

Please remember to sign the yellow section 9 of your V5C.

If you can't find your V5C, please contact the DVLA immediately on 0870 240 0010 and they'll send you a duplicate. If your details haven't changed, this should take no more than three working days.

Once we receive your V5C, your motorcycle will be collected at the agreed time (please make sure you leave the motorcycle's full service history with the motorcycle when it is collected). It will then be inspected by our appointed logistics company. You'll be charged for any damage that falls outside the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association's (BVRLA) Fair Wear and Tear guidelines.

I have a personalised plate. What do I do?
If you want to keep your personalised plate, ring the DVLA on 0870 240 0010 to obtain a retention certificate (this may take up to six weeks).

You'll receive a new V5C containing your motorcycle's new registration but please don't return the motorcycle until you have the V5C.

Once you receive the new document, sign the yellow section 9 and return the whole form to us and we'll pass it to the DVLA.

If we don't receive anything from you and your plate is still on the motorcycle when it's returned we'll assume you're happy to pass it on.

My BMW's been damaged, what should I do?
If your motorcycle is damaged you'll need to have it repaired under your own motor insurance policy before returning the motorcycle to us. If there's any un-repaired damage when your motorcycle is returned, you'll be charged for the cost of repairs.

We'll also need details of any accident damage that has been repaired over the course of the agreement.

I've exceeded my agreed mileage. What happens now?
Extra mileage will be charged at the rate shown in your agreement. You'll receive an invoice for this extra cost once you've returned the motorcycle to us. The invoice is payable immediately.

I'd like to discuss my options before my agreement ends. What should I do?
Whether you're an individual or business customer, we offer a wide range of flexible finance solutions.

If you'd like to discuss your options further before your agreement ends, please contact the BMW Financial Services Specialist at your preferred dealership. They'll be happy to discuss your options with you.
